When I saw this quote, I thought of two things… the amazing people who can spot excellence in a sea of mediocrity, and the people who complain when excellence is being appreciated.

Finding beauty and good in the world isn't always as easy as it seems. There is a lot to sift through, a lot to edit out, and it's hard to find the things that truly inspire.

It's easy to criticize when others praise, but is that the most productive thing to do? Does poo-pooing other people's accomplishments make for excellent observations? Sometimes, but most often not. (yes, I said poo-poo)

So instead of looking for why everything great is not that great, look for greatness and excellence all around. It'll be amazing how things start to change, and more excellent things will suddenly appear.
